Our hands are extremely complex mechanical systems, involving skin, muscles, tendons, bones, nerves and arteries. As specialists in plastic, hand and upper extremity surgery, our doctors have had extensive training in several related fields, including residencies in orthopaedic surgery and plastic surgery. Fellowships in hand surgery were completed following their residencies. This additional expertise enables us to offer effective methods to rehabilitate patients with problems resulting from congenital deformities, injuries, overuse, or arthritic conditions. Our doctors are highly skilled and each one brings a unique perspective to the practice. By combining our experience and sharing information, we are able to offer an effective team approach.
Recent innovations in hand surgery now make it possible to help many conditions that were once thought untreatable. Those innovations coupled with the diverse training and experience of our group practice’s doctors allow us to offer multiple areas of expertise to our patients. Our doctors use these resources, modern technology and techniques and their own skills, to relieve your pain and restore the usefulness of your hand.
Treatment Strategies:
Committed to patient education, our doctors encourage patients to participate in choosing treatment strategies. We welcome questions at every stage and offer a library of informative brochures and video tapes on many subjects. Our doctors will discuss your goals and objectives before advising surgery, often using 3-D anatomical models of the hand and shoulder to fully explain your condition and treatment options. They may also recommend a program of rehabilitation after surgery to maximize post-operative results:
We offer:
Arthroscopic Surgery: Using precise fiberoptic instruments to repair damage in small or difficult-to-reach areas in the wrist.
Joint Replacement Surgery: To restore pain-free motion, even in joints that have been severely damaged by rheumatoid arthritis. This is an effective alternative to fusing severely damaged wrists
or fingers.
